SOS: Save Our Schools
A Lumad Bakwit School Kit
For our Philippine Design class we were tasked to create a design project inspired by our experience with the lumads. I decided to create a notebook and pencil set that can be donated to lumad bakwit students. With the donated notebook, the donor gets a sticker as a token for their donation.
The overall design is inspired by the beads I used to create beadwork with the lumads. The title, SOS, is composed of the beadwork pattern that was taught to me by Susan, one of the bakwit students I encountered. Other imagery related to the lumads are formed by the beads such as their agriculture and their education.
